Autoclave - Drummed Waste Treatment

- Drummed waste (debris, sludges, or cemented waste) is electrically heated in a drum pyrolyzer.
- Organics are volatilized
- Reactive metals are converted to oxides or carbonate
- The drummed waste is converted into a dry, inert inorganic material
- The input waste volume is reduced 20% to 90%
- The off-gas from the pyrolyzer is processed in a steam reformer
- Volatilized hydrocarbons are converted into CO2 and water vapor
- The stack off-gas meets MACT requirements
- The process generates no liquid effluent
